Get ready for Ovations Musical Theatre Fall production! 

Rehearsals will be held on Fridays, 

August 30th to November 22nd 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Performances will be on Saturday, November 23rd at 3:00pm and 5:30pm.

The rehearsal location will be the McTeggart Dance Studio in Tomball.

Performance venue TBA.

Students will be guided through the performing aspects of the Musical Theatre process, which will encompass solo singing, duet singing, ensemble performance, acting, dancing, stage direction and character development. It is a top priority at Ovations Music Academy, to set each student on the pathway towards their highest potential. Through our program, students will gain a sense of self-confidence, which will enable them to stand out as individual artists, and master the ability to work together as a team, creating the necessary ingredients to shine collectively!

This 42-hour program is designed for individuals with varied levels of singing, acting and movement ability, who want to elevate their existing skills to a high level while cultivating relationships with like-minded artists.

THERE ARE NO AUDITION REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER! HOWEVER, STUDENTS WILL BE TESTED FOR VOCAL RANGE AND READING ABILITY DURING THE FIRST FEW CLASSES, AND WILL BE TAUGHT A SONG FROM THE SHOW FOR ROLE AND ENSEMBLE ASSIGNMENTS! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ARE EDUCATIONAL CLASSES AND THAT OMA’S MUSICAL THEATRE PROGRAM IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY OR COMMUNITY THEATRE, YET WE WILL ALWAYS STRIVE TO BRING THE MOST PROFESSIONAL ASPECTS OF PERFORMANCE TO OUR COMMUNITY!

This program allows students to explore the integral skills required for success on and off the stage, to understand professional ethics, and to prepare themselves for the joys of musical theatre.

• Acting and Performance Techniques
• Stage Movement and Dance
• Vocal Performance

Depending on several factors, including enrollment, budget and talent, this program could either culminate with a Fully-Staged Musical Theatre Production (Ticketed Event), or a Broadway Musical Review (Non-Ticketed Event), where all students will have the opportunity to present their work, generated throughout the course, to family and community. That will be determined by the start of the program.

We're proud to sign a long-term rental agreement with the McTeggart Irish Dancers of South Texas!

Limited Space: We will be accepting minimum of 20 students to open the program and a Maximum of 40 students. That will ensure high-quality instruction and personalized attention to each participant.

Program details: (42 hours, which includes 12 hours for the final rehearsals and performances)

Terms: 100% deposit due upon your registration.

Policies: NO Tuition will be prorated if you join after the program starts. 50% of tuition is non-refundable if canceled before the program starts. 100% of program tuition is non-refundable if canceled on the first day or during the program. There are no make-up lessons for missing scheduled classes. However, we can provide material and homework to level the student.

What to Bring: jazz shoes, water bottles, activewear, and a sense of excitement!

Additional Activities: will include arts and crafts as well as physical activities! For these reasons, we suggest comfortable clothing and tennis shoes, with socks.
